Security Guard Shot While Dispersing Crowd At Curtis Hixon Park In Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police are investigating a shooting incident that left a security guard injured Tuesday night.

The incident occurred around 10:45 PM on December 31st in the 600 block of North Ashley Drive. According to preliminary reports, security personnel were in the process of removing a crowd from the property when one of the guards, an adult male in his late 30s, was shot.

The injured security guard was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

Tampa police are actively investigating the shooting and have not yet released details about potential suspects or a motive.
