SEBRING, Fla. – A Sebring Police Officer is lucky to be alive after a drunk driver crashed into his patrol car early Thanksgiving morning.
Officer Earle was conducting a traffic stop on Kenilworth Boulevard around 1:00 a.m. when a drunk driver slammed into the back of his vehicle.
Despite the severity of the crash, Officer Earle escaped with non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and thankfully released to return home to his family.

The Sebring Police Department expressed immense relief and gratitude for Officer Earle’s safe return, acknowledging that the outcome could have been far worse. “We are very aware that this outcome could’ve been very different for Officer Earle and his family,” the department stated.
The Sebring Police Department urged everyone to celebrate responsibly and make smart choices. “Buzzed driving is still drunk driving,” they emphasized. “If you plan on enjoying your holiday with a drink…DON’T DRIVE!”
