SEATTLE, Wa. – According to KIRO 7 in Seattle, one protester has died and another is in serious condition after being hit by a car that plowed into a crowd on I-5 near the Olive Way overpass.
A spokesperson for Harborview Medical Center confirmed that 24-year-old Summer Taylor, ‘died from her injuries.’
The other victim, 32-year-old Diaz Love remains in serious condition in the ICU.
The driver of the Jaguar, Dawit Kelete was booked into the King County Correctional Facility at 7:24 a.m. Saturday on two counts of vehicular assault. Bail was denied. It was not immediately clear if Kelete had an attorney who could speak on his behalf and Kings County Jail has not updated their public records as of 4 PM today.
