Authorities suspect that a 47-year-old Alabama man kidnapped his mother, who is 78 years old, and that she may be “in danger of bodily harm or death.”
In a press release from the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama, authorities say that on November 3, Kristopher Moore—who was residing in a camper behind his mother’s house—took her in a borrowed vehicle to a bank.
It is said that after arriving, his mother, Mary Ann Moore, “withdrew a large amount of money from her account.”
The sheriff’s office claims that they returned to her house after withdrawing a large sum of money.

But Kristopher Moore and his mother vanished the following day at about seven in the morning, and friends and family haven’t seen them since. Authorities are unsure of the kind of vehicle they were operating.
Because of Kristopher Moore’s “recent erratic behavior,” the sheriff’s office claims that they believe his mother is in “extreme danger.”
Kristopher Moore was referred to in the statement as “violent and mentally unstable.”
The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact deputies or dial 911.
Mary Ann Moore has grayish hair, weighs 150 pounds, and is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall.
According to reports, her son is 175 pounds, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes and a tattoo of a Celtic cross on his chest.
