A significant blow has been dealt to the Islamic State (ISIS) with the capture of a key cell leader in Syria. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces, successfully apprehended Salah Mohammad Al-Abdullah during a raid near Shahil on March 6th.
The operation, a part of the ongoing Defeat-ISIS campaign, aimed to disrupt and dismantle the terrorist group’s networks in the region.

During the raid, SDF forces seized a cache of weapons, including a 12.7mm (.50 cal) sniper rifle, an AK-47, hand grenades, and various other weapons and ammunition.
CENTCOM forces played a crucial role in the operation by providing technical support and intelligence, enabling the SDF to execute the raid effectively.
The capture of Al-Abdullah represents a significant step in the effort to prevent the resurgence of ISIS and maintain stability in the region.
