A Florida man is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Russell Golden of Panama City purchased the winning 500X THE CASH ticket at Captain Hai’s Fresh Seafood Market & Convenience Store in Panama City. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.

The $50 500X THE CASH game offers players the chance to win up to $25 million, the largest prize ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game. With odds of 1-in-4.23, it’s one of the most popular games in the state.
Scratch-off games make up a significant portion of the Florida Lottery’s revenue, with approximately 74% of ticket sales coming from these games.
