A Scottish man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for possessing and transporting child sexual abuse material into the United States. Steven Paul McInally, 36, pleaded guilty to the charges on November 1, 2024.
According to court documents, McInally arrived at Orlando International Airport on August 25, 2023, for a vacation.

During a border search, law enforcement officials discovered child sexual abuse material on his cellphone. Some of the material included images of minors taken at a sleepover party at McInally’s home. A forensic review revealed approximately 3,900 images and 70 videos of child sexual abuse material on the device.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Orlando and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. McNeff prosecuted the case.
