Scooter Crash In Pinellas Park Leaves Driver With Life-Threatening Injuries

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – A single-vehicle scooter crash in Pinellas Park has left the driver with life-threatening injuries.

The Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the scene on the 8000 block of northbound 49th Street around noon Friday.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the scooter was traveling northbound on 49th Street when the driver lost control and was ejected from the vehicle. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but speed does not appear to be a factor. It is currently unknown if impairment played a role in the incident.

The driver of the scooter was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. No further details about the driver’s identity or condition have been released at this time.
