PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas Park Police arrested Demetrious Dontay Jones, a campus monitor at Richard O. Jacobsen Technical High School, on August 29th, 2024, for Sexual Battery. The victim is a 15-year-old female student at the same school.
The investigation began on August 28th after reports of potential sexual activity in a vehicle at a local apartment complex. The victim was found walking away from the vehicle.

Jones admitted to being with the victim but denied any sexual contact. However, based on the evidence, he was arrested and charged.
Chief Geissenberger said, “I want to make it clear that the safety and well-being of our most vulnerable population is of utmost importance. The actions of this individual, who was entrusted with a position of responsibility within our school system, represent a profound violation of that trust. This crime not only harms the victim but also shakes the confidence of parents, students, and the community at large. We are committed to pursuing justice in this case, ensuring that those who abuse their power to exploit vulnerable individuals are held accountable under the law.”
