SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department is currently at the scene of a crash on Fruitville Rd. near Cardinal Mooney High School.
As of now, westbound Fruitville Rd. remains open, however, eastbound traffic is restricted to one lane between Beneva Rd. and McIntosh Rd.

Drivers should expect delays in the area while authorities work to clear the scene. It’s been confirmed that no students were involved in the accident.
The Sarasota Police Department will provide updates as they become available, including information on when the road will fully reopen.
