SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Maple Avenue, Sarasota.
Officers who were patrolling the area heard multiple gunshots.
A short time later, officers found an adult woman, age 19, who had been shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and later released. Officers learned a second victim, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
Officers found evidence that bullets hit 11 parked cars and two homes, but no other injuries were reported.
