Sarasota Sheriff’s Office Investigates Homicide After Man Found Dead In Home On Regatta Drive

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide that occurred at 2724 Regatta Drive in Sarasota. Deputies responded to a call on July 25th regarding an unconscious person and discovered the deceased body of 47-year-old Edward Dukes Jr. inside the residence.

Based on evidence found at the scene, authorities are treating the death as a homicide. While the investigation is ongoing, the incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the community.
