Sarasota Police Make an Arrest In Thursday’s Deadly Shooting

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department has made an arrest in a homicide that happened on Thursday.

Tydarian Moore, 28, was arrested in Bradenton without incident with assistance from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office around 6:30 p.m., Sunday.

Investigators say the shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Thursday, near Leon Avenue and 24th Street.  An SUV was found by Sarasota Police officers near 21st Street and Palmadelia Avenue with the victim inside.  Officers called for emergency rescue immediately.  The victim was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died this Thursday evening.

Moore is facing charges of Homicide and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  He’s currently being booked into the Manatee County Jail.
