SARASOTA, Fla. – A Sarasota man is facing multiple felony charges related to possession and transmission of child pornography.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested 31-year-old Jonathon McNish on Thursday, March 6th, following a three-month investigation by their Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit.

Detectives received tips through the ICAC Task Force that led them to McNish. Their investigation revealed that McNish possessed numerous images of child pornography and had also transmitted those images to others.
A search warrant was executed at McNish’s residence, leading to his arrest. He is charged with 40 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 30 counts of Transmission of Child Pornography.
McNish is currently in custody at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility.
