VENICE, Fla. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a death that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday in Venice. Deputies responded to the area of 3980 South Tamiami Trail, between State Road 776 and Jacaranda Boulevard, around 2:00 AM.
Few details are available at this time as the investigation is in its preliminary stages. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section is actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
