The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank at 3625 Bee Ridge Road around 9:45 am on Wednesday.

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank at 3625 Bee Ridge Road around 9:45 am on Wednesday.

Deputies say an unknown white male suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller. During the interaction, the suspect implied he was armed with a gun.

The suspect was given cash and exited the bank, heading eastbound on foot.

Currently, units are searching for the suspect with the assistance of our aviation unit and a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. Criminal Investigations detectives are on the scene.
