RUSKIN, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating thousands of dollars worth of damage at a public park in Ruskin.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2021, deputies were called to the Ruskin Recreational Center, located at 901 6th Street SE, where the unknown suspect(s) set a fire on the basketball court and broke overhead light fixtures in the outdoor picnic pavilion area.
Deputies obtained surveillance video that captured a black four-door sedan pull into the parking lot just after midnight. Four unknown subjects exited the vehicle and were seen in the area where the crime took place.

“Our detectives want to talk to these individuals and are asking anyone who recognizes them from the surveillance video to please help us identify them,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are working to determine who caused this costly and senseless damage to a public park that is enjoyed by people of all ages.”
