Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host who pioneered conservative talk radio, has died at the age of 70.
The death was announced on his program today by his wife, Kathryn Limbaugh.
His death comes a little more than a year after his announcement of a diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer. Limbaugh’s time on talk radio has spanned more than three decades, with a peak audience of more than 15 million listeners.
Limbaugh was first syndicated on the radio in 1988.
The conservative host was a top supporter of former President Trump and as recently as October hosted Trump for a two-hour interview.
In April, the former president had previously awarded Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom.
On Wednesday, just after the announcement of his death, keyboard warriors on Twitter reacted.

Country Music Star John Rich said on Twitter, “The left is celebrating the slow and painful death of #RushLimbaugh as they demand we all “unify or else!” I’m sure Rush would have expected exactly this level of hypocrisy from them. Really disgusting. Read the comments to my last tweet. That’s the “tolerant left” in action.”
We concur.
