POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported that John Sturgeon has turned himself in.

John Sturgeon, 53, of Winter Haven, is apparently not a fan of friendly gestures or car compliments. Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is on the hunt for this road rage enthusiast after he allegedly assaulted a driver who dared to wave and admire his vehicle.

The incident, caught on the victim’s dashcam (because of course it was), unfolded like a scene from a bad action movie.

Sturgeon abruptly stopped his car, stormed over to the victim’s vehicle, and proceeded to deliver a punch to the face. All because the victim had the audacity to offer a wave and a kind word about his car.

Deputies could be scratching their heads, wondering if road etiquette now includes mandatory boxing gloves and a “Do Not Compliment” sign on your dashboard.

Sturgeon remains at large, possibly hiding in his Terranova neighborhood, plotting his next attack on unsuspecting admirers.

If you spot this 5’9″, 260-lb, heavily tattooed individual, resist the urge to compliment his physique.

Instead, contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 863-298-6200 or submit an anonymous tip to Heartland Crime Stoppers.
