Pennsylvania voting rule changes

RNC and Trump Campaign Win Lawsuit in Pennsylvania Voter ID Case

The RNC released a statement on the Voter ID Law and suit filed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In a case for election vote counting, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania sided with the Republican National Committee and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. in the challenge to Secretary Kathy Boockvar’s unlawful deadline extension for absentee voters to provide missing proof of identification. The court has enforced the proper statutory deadline and ordered that those ballots be segregated and not counted.

“The RNC is doing everything in our power to ensure that these kind of issues are resolved and the letter of the law is followed. We will not stand idly by as Democrats use shady and illegal tactics to tip the scales in their favor and against the will of the American people.  We will continue to fight for election integrity every step of the way until the results up and down the ballot are final.” – RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

Secretary Boockvar re-wrote Pennsylvania Election Code to move the deadline to provide missing proof of identification for absentee voters.  Last night, the RNC and Trump campaign filed a lawsuit challenging this flagrant disregard of state law.

In a statement, the RNC said, “The RNC and its Republican allies will continue to fight back against Democrat efforts to move the goal posts and count unlawful ballots.  The RNC and Trump campaign have over 500 volunteer lawyers and multiple firms engaged in Pennsylvania, and are fully prepared to litigate as necessary to ensure the integrity of the process.”
