HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists traveling southbound on Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County should be aware of a significant ramp closure this weekend.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) [or relevant agency if different] has announced that the southbound I-75 ramp to US 301 North will be closed from 9:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025, to 5:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025, weather permitting.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs on I-75 between Progress Boulevard and Woodberry Road.

Drivers needing to access US 301 North from southbound I-75 will be detoured. Motorists will be directed to use the ramp toward US 301 South (Riverview). They will then merge onto southbound US 301, turn right onto Progress Boulevard, turn right onto Faulkenburg Road, and proceed to US 301 North.

Electronic message boards and signage will be in place to guide drivers through the detour route. Drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone and to be alert for construction workers.

The temporary closure is expected to cause delays, and motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly or seek alternate routes.
