All dogs that participate in the hike will be given a Canine Hiker bandana. Hillsborough County’s Pet Resource Center also will be at the event with information about adoption and pet foster programs.

Wortham Park is part of this year’s Hiking Spree, which began in 2016 to encourage people to exercise, explore the outdoors, and experience nature through the numerous parks and preserves in Hillsborough County.

This year’s Hiking Spree features 26 trails at 24 locations. Complete at least eight by March 31, 2023, to earn a patch, a medallion for a walking stick, or a pet bandana.

Saturday’s hike is free, but registration is required. For more information, call (813) 734-4712.
