HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 23-year-old Riverview man sustained serious injuries in a collision on Interstate 75 Monday afternoon after his vehicle struck a tow truck.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the incident occurred at approximately 2:12 PM on March 17, 2025, on northbound I-75 near the exit ramp for US-301.

The Riverview man was driving a Honda Accord when he failed to maintain his lane of travel and veered onto the paved outside shoulder. Once on the shoulder, his vehicle collided with the rear of a Ford F550 flatbed tow truck.
The impact caused the Honda Accord to rotate and come to a final rest in the northbound travel lanes. The driver of the Accord suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the tow truck, a 41-year-old Tampa man, was not injured in the crash.
