River Ridge High School Student Arrested for Fabricating Email Threat: Pasco Sheriff

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A 17-year-old student at River Ridge High School has been arrested by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) after fabricating an email threat against the school.

The student had initially reported the threatening email to the PSO dispatch. However, a thorough investigation revealed that the threats actually originated from the student.

The student was taken into custody and faces charges of fabricating evidence, making a false report to law enforcement, and unlawfully using a two-way communication device.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there is currently no threat to River Ridge High School.

Authorities are urging parents and guardians to have open conversations with their children about the seriousness of making threats, even in jest. They also emphasized the importance of reporting any suspicious activity or threats immediately.
