Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ripped the Colorado Supreme Court for removing former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot, saying the four-justice majority wronged Trump and hurt American democracy.

If the majority’s ruling stands, and Trump is denied a second term because of “judicial fiat,” Kennedy continued, the country will become “ungovernable,” as people will lose trust in the political system.

RFK Jr. made the comments in a tweet thread on X on Tuesday, the same day the Colorado high court voted 4-3 to boot Trump.

Many furious Republicans vigorously denounced the decision, and the Colorado Republican Party threatened to pull all candidates off the ballot and opt for a caucus system to go around the ruling.

“Every American should be troubled by the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove President Trump from the ballot,” said Kennedy, a member of one of America’s most famous Democratic families who now seeks the White House as a political independent.

“The court has deprived him of a consequential right without having been convicted of a crime. This was done without an evidentiary hearing in which he is given the basic right of confronting his accusers,” Kennedy added.

“When any candidate is deprived of his right to run, the American people are deprived of their right to choose.”

Kennedy called on the Colorado Supreme Court to “swiftly” reverse the decision, because (a)t the very least, it contributes to the perception that the elites are picking the President by manipulating the legal system, and through other interventions.”

“If Trump is kept out of office through judicial fiat rather than being defeated in a fair election, his supporters will never accept the result. This country will become ungovernable,” said Kennedy.

“It’s time to trust the voters. It is up to the people to decide who the best candidate is. Not the courts. The people. That’s Democracy 101.”

Kennedy, the nephew of President John F. Kennedy and the son of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, both of whom were assassinated, is making a strong showing as a third option for voters in 2024.

The Hill reported last week that a Monmouth University poll revealed that 21% of voters surveyed will definitely (6%) or probably (15%) vote for RFK Jr.
