DENVER, CO. – The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and Westminster and Thornton Police Departments need your help in identifying a bank robber. The banks where the robberies occurred are:
- Key Bank
- 7198 Federal Blvd.
- Westminster, Colorado
- 10/02/2020, 4:49 p.m.
- Vectra Bank
- 4151 E. 136th Ave.
- Thornton, Colorado
- 10/07/2020, 12:01 p.m.
The suspect was described as a white female, 40 to 50 years old, approximately 5’03” in height, weighing 130 to 140 pounds, with a medium to heavy build, and shoulder length blonde, wavy hair. During the October 2, 2020, robbery the suspect wore a short sleeve dark blue Denver Broncos t-shirt, dark colored legging-type pants, black gloves, black sunglasses, and an orange and white face mask. During the October 7, 2020, robbery she wore a teal green t-shirt, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes with white soles, black latex gloves, and a white face mask.
During both robberies the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, presented a note, and then fled.
Please be on the lookout for anyone matching the suspect’s description. Be aware of anyone similar who might have recently changed their spending habits or discussed coming into money suddenly.
Bank robbery is punishable up to a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
