PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – Today, Kevin Hayslett for Congress, announced raising over $750,000 in just 10 weeks since his campaign launch at the end of January.

The massive quarterly haul is the most any candidate in Florida’s 13th, Republican or Democrat, has raised in any FEC filing period since the 2022 campaign cycle began, according to Hayselett for Congress.

As a first-time candidate, Hayslett’s fundraising is already far outpacing his primary opponents, two of whom are running for their second time.

The number is nearly double his closest primary opponent in the race. Hayslett’s $750,000 in 10 weeks is one of the best quarterly reports posted by a first-time candidate in their first-quarter fundraising report.

Hayslett’s campaign says that after releasing a flurry of endorsements from local leaders who had previously endorsed other candidates, there is an obvious appetite for a political outsider who has a clear path to victory in November.

The campaign says that Hayslett has already established himself as the pro-law enforcement, pro-Trump candidate, and continues to gain momentum as the local communities’ choice for Congress in FL-13.

“In just about two months, Kevin has skyrocketed to a front runner in this race, and has actually raised the money that will be needed to flip this seat from blue to red,” stated Sam Oh, general consultant to Kevin Hayslett. “Voters are becoming aware that Kevin is the only candidate in the race that can help Republicans take back the House, and there is a clear shift in momentum his way.”

Hayslett has announced a long list of local endorsements which includes both Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri and former Sheriff Jim Coats, along with former St.Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster and former Pinellas County Commissioner Jay Beyrouti.

“I launched this campaign because we’re heading in the wrong direction and my community was in need of a leader who could provide strong, conservative leadership. I am truly humbled by the early support I have received,” stated former prosecutor Kevin Hayslett. “Inflation is at its highest in 40 years, prices are out of control, and Democrats are threatening our way of life. I will continue to prove to this community that I will fight on behalf of them in Congress, not join the career politicians in the D.C. swamp.”

Hayslett is a law firm partner at Carlson, Meissner, Hart & Hayslett.

He is a graduate of Clearwater High School. He and his wife, Melisa have three sons. They enjoy playing tennis, baseball and watching seasonal sports. Kevin is an avid tennis player and is currently nationally rated in singles and doubles.
