PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – The Pinellas Park Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on [date of shooting]. Jose Vanegas-Letcher has been charged with second-degree murder following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit.
The incident took place at a residence on Applewood Terrace North. According to the police report, Vanegas-Letcher and the victim, Stanley McSwain Jr., were both at the residence, where their girlfriends resided. An altercation broke out between the two men, and as McSwain was leaving, Vanegas-Letcher allegedly retrieved a firearm and shot McSwain multiple times.

McSwain was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Vanegas-Letcher was detained and questioned by detectives, who subsequently arrested him and charged him with second-degree murder.
