Tucker Carlson was back on the air, so to speak, Wednesday night. Two days after being fired by Fox News, the staunch conservative broadcaster posted a video to his Twitter account at the same time he normally would have been hosting his top-rated cable news show.
Breitbart News reported on Thursday that Tucker on Twitter smashed whatever Fox used to replace him.
During his 2-minute Twitter monologue, Carlson argued America has become a “one-party state,” according to The Free Press on Thursday. By that, he meant the elites of both parties had lined up against everyday Americans.
As for the “orthodoxies” of the current ideologies, Carlson said, “They’re brain-dead. Nobody actually believes them. Hardly anyone’s life is improved by them.”

“This moment is too inherently ridiculous to continue, and so it won’t. The people in charge notice; that’s why they’re hysterical and aggressive. They’re afraid. They’ve given up persuasion — they’re resorting to force. But it won’t work,” he added. “When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful.”
Breitbart noted, “Within the first hour of Carlson’s posting to Twitter, the video received some 1.8 million views — more than the 1.7 million views that his old Fox News time slot at 8:00 p.m. got the night before.”
“His Twitter video … by noon on Thursday had amassed nearly 18 million views while the tweet itself had been viewed almost 60 million times.”
Breitbart also pointed out that the 1.7 million people Fox News actually did draw with Carlson’s replacement was actually about half of his average audience during the first quarter of 2023.
