Horrific mass shootings in California in the past four days have left at least 18 people dead.

Liberals would like to blame white supremacy, but that narrative has evaporated as the shooters in both cases were elderly Asians. So the next best option for the left is to advocate more gun control.

But they have a problem there, too.

The right-leaning website JustTheNews.com reported on Sunday, before the second California tragedy, that the bulk of mass shooting since the onset of the pandemic has occurred in states that have received high marks from gun-control advocates.

Excluding murder-suicides that happened within a family, Just The News noted the ten worst mass murders committed with a firearm dating back to June 2020.

While the worst incident happened in gun-friendly Texas — with 21 students and teachers killed in Uvalde — most of the rest took place in liberal states with tough gun control policies.

That list included three in California alone — or four, including Monday’s massacre — as well as one each in Illinois, Colorado, and New York.

Besides Texas, the red states afflicted by such violence included Georgia, Alabama, and Indiana.

The six mass murders in blue states occurred in states that had received at least a “B” grade from the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, a gun control group.

“With an ‘A’ grade, California is ranked as the state with the strongest gun laws, according to Giffords,” Just The News pointed out.
