The Democrats’ two-tiered system of justice strikes again.

The conservative website Trending Politics reported on Thursday that the U.S. Capitol Police have declined to file charges against a gay Senate staffer who filmed himself having sex on a committee room table in the Hart Senate Office Building.

“After consulting with federal and local prosecutors, as well as doing a comprehensive investigation and review of possible charges, it was determined that — despite a likely violation of Congressional policy — there is currently no evidence that a crime was committed,” the USCP said in a statement.

“Although the hearing room was not open to the public at the time, the Congressional staffer involved had access to the room. The two people of interest were not cooperative, nor were the elements of any of the possible crimes met,” the cops’ statement added.

“The Congressional staffer, who has since resigned from his job, exercised his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent and refused to talk to us. Our investigators are willing to review new evidence should any come to light.”

The staffer in question was Aidan Maese-Czeropski, who worked for Maryland Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin until news of the video broke in December.

Despite the USCP claim about Maese-Czeropski’s access to the hearing room, Cardin told reporters at the time that he didn’t know how his former aide wound up there.

In response to the news of no charges being filed, George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said on X, “The U.S. Capitol Police answered [a] much-debated question today: it turns out that shooting a porn scene in a Senate Hearing room and posting it on the Internet is not a crime.”

“While many view Congress as an often obscene display,” Turley added, “it appears that the line between porn and politics is not found in the criminal code.”

Many conservatives on X noted in response to Turley how the feds treated Maese-Czeropski with kid gloves, while the Biden administration has relentlessly hunted down and jailed otherwise peaceful protesters at the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol or at abortion clinics.

One X user noted to Turley, “OK have a republican staffer do it and I bet they find a law.”
