Amazon founder Jeff Bezos started his online retail empire nearly 30 years ago in a modest three-bedroom house near Seattle.
Now, like many liberals who seek refuge from the policies they support, the world’s third-richest man is becoming a Floridian.
The Florida Standard recently reported that Bezos bought a $68 million waterfront home property in Indian Creek Village, a small but exclusive venue sitting on a man-made island in Miami’s Biscayne Bay.
Bezos’ three-bedroom Florida house was built in 1965 and sits on about 3 acres, the Florida Standard added.

The outlet noted that other celebrities who own property on the site include former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner. Other former residents include Jay Z and Beyoncé and the late Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula.
The Daily Mail, which also reported on Bezos’ buy, noted that the median house price is $29.5 million, in a community with just 34 properties spread across 300 acres.
Bezos started Amazon in 1994 as an online bookstore, but it quickly expanded into a diverse range of products and services, eventually becoming one of the largest e-commerce platforms globally. Under Bezos’s leadership, Amazon grew into a tech giant offering everything from consumer goods to cloud computing services.

In addition to Amazon and Blue Origin, Bezos has been involved in various other ventures and investments, including ownership of The Washington Post newspaper. He served as the CEO of Amazon until July 2021 when he stepped down and was succeeded by Andy Jassy.
Bezos is one of the wealthiest individuals in the world due to his Amazon holdings and various other investments.
