Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida predicted Wednesday that the Senate would never consider removing President Joe Biden from office for any corruption rooted in his son’s shady business deals.

That’s because, he added, moderate Republicans in the House would torpedo the impeachment effort because they’ve bought the narrative — which Democrats promote — that Biden did not personally profit from the family influence-peddling business.

“Joe Biden is very unlikely to be impeached by the House of Representatives based on these bribes, based on the current evidence we have,” Gaetz said during an interview with former Trump aide Steve Bannon, which occurred after Hunter Biden gave a closed-door deposition to GOP lawmakers.

The Fort Walton Beach Republican said he strongly believes Hunter was running a money-laundering operation through which foreign operators paid the Biden family for access to Joe.

“If you pull back about a layer or two of the onion, there’s no actual business. It’s just the movement of money to facilitate influence” with Joe Biden, said Gaetz.

The true, “really dark” picture of the family’s maneuvering is Joe Biden “creating government deliverables” for Chinese communists and Ukrainians through payments to Hunter.

Yet, despite that, Gaetz asserted that “dozens” of moderate Republicans would vote to impeach Biden only “if they see money going directly to Joe, enriching Joe.”

Gaetz said not even the weight of current federal law, which declares it illegal to pay politicians’ family members in order to influence their actions, would sway GOP moderates.

The congressman argued that crooks dispensing bribes likely get more of what they want by taking care of a politician’s family instead of just handing cash directly to their ally.

Yet, as it now stands, conservatives misplace their hope by thinking GOP moderates will go with the evidence that now exists.

“There are dozens of Republicans who will not vote to impeach based on the evidence we currently have,” he told Bannon.

“I would, because I still think it’s a bribe,” Gaetz added. “But if you believe that some successful impeachment is emerging out of the House and then resulting in a trial in the Senate, then maybe you and Hunter Biden were in the same peyote den.”
