Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz announced the winners of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for Florida’s First District at Artel Gallery in Pensacola.
Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor a nationwide high school arts competition.
High school students across Florida’s First Congressional District submit their artwork for the competition, which is judged by a panel of local art professionals.

The winning artwork will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will also include artwork from participating districts across the country.
The winners of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition are listed below:
1st Place Winner: “Essence” by Noah Villarreal of Navarre High School
2nd Place Winner: “Sick!” by Eliana Batarao of Fort Walton Beach High School
3rd Place Winner: “Burnout” by Gianna Tagliere of Pace High School
Runner Up: “Beauty in Solitude” by Layla Prochazka of Navarre High School
Runner Up: “Racoon” by Caitlin Bunner of Pace High School
Runner Up: “The City of Monsters” by Ella Levin of Pensacola Catholic High School
