On Twitter recently, “10% for the Big Guy” was trending in reference to Hunter Biden’s alleged deal with interests involved in the Chinese communist government that his father, Joe Biden, was due a 10 percent cut.
The comment was revived as it became clear that Joe Biden lied about his knowledge of Hunter’s dealings with foreign interests. Although Joe Biden said in 2019 that he had “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Fox News reported that the current president met at least 14 of Hunter’s business associates, including those from Mexico, Ukraine, and China, and Kazakhstan.
That all occurred while Joe Biden was vice president.
During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, Rep. Matt Gaetz tried to force one of the Justice Department’s top officials to admit that the Biden family is “compromised.” As expected, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen dodged the question.
When Gaetz, a Fort Walton Beach Republican, asked specifically if the first family was compromised to foreign interest, Olsen declined to comment. He only said that the Justice Department would “speak through our filings in court.”
Olsen stuck to that line when Gaetz again asked if the American people deserved to know if the Bidens were compromised, and pointed out that the Justice Department had no problem releasing leaks about investigations involving Republicans, especially former President Donald Trump.
It’s a rule “you guys violate all the time,” Gaetz told Olsen.
“We’re living in a time where the American people have the lowest perception and belief in the integrity of the Justice Department since your inception, and it’s not because we’re asking tough questions,” said Gaetz. “It’s because you sit here and stonewall us and don’t give us answers.”
“Are you guys ever going to investigate this?” Gaetz asked Olsen of Joe Biden’s lies about Hunter’s deals with foreign interests.

In an email to constituents on Friday, Gaetz highlighted the exchange and noted that Olsen at least admitted at one point the Justice Department has an “ongoing investigation” into “Hunter’s laptop and his corrupt business deals.”
“This hearing was supposed to increase public confidence in our justice system and assure them that the rule of law is being applied consistently,” Gaetz noted to his constituents.
“It appears the Justice Department has no trouble targeting parents who voice their concerns at school board meetings, but when it comes to Hunter Biden, they do nothing.”
