The recent deal among Senate Democrats to ram through a revised version of President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill promises higher taxes – for almost everyone.
And Biden will leave no stone unturned to deprive more Americans of their hard-earned money.
The proposal calls for hiring 87,000 new IRS agents, who, as the Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee noted this week, will come “after you and your family-owned business on the belief that everyone is a tax cheat.”
The GOP lawmakers noted that as much as 90 percent of the “under-reported income” these tax snoops are expected to uncover will come form Americans making $200,000 a year for less. More than half – 52 percent – would be from those making less than $50,000.
But U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz is worried about more than just Biden’s higher taxes on the middle class.
The Fort Walton Beach Republican appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show recently to discuss why the IRS is ramping up its arsenal and its stockpile of ammo.
As The Free Press reported last month, Gaetz introduced his “Disarm the IRS” bill last month after reports that the agency spent more than $700,000 on ammunition just between March and June.
In the segment Thursday, Carlson pointed out that the IRS spent $20 million on guns and ammo between 2006 and 2019. The agency now has more than 5 million rounds of ammo.
Responding to Carlson’s question as to why the IRA needs this firepower, Gaetz replied that Biden “is raising taxes (and) disarming Americans — so, of course, they are arming up the IRS like they are preparing to take Fallujah.”

Biden is seeking to “quite literally weaponize your government against you,” Gaetz added.
“It’s not that Joe Biden and the Democrats hate guns. They just hate law-abiding Americans having them,” said Gaetz. “And they take the money from the people to go have their own private little arsenals.”
Gaezt said he seeks to stop the IRS from this practice because Biden increasingly seeks to strip Americans of the right to defend themselves while he also promotes “hug-a-thug, woke criminal justice policies” that endanger them.
Gaetz noted that in the Democrats’ most recent gun control bill – which as The Free Press reported would outlaw roughly 195 different models of firearms – included exemptions for the IRS as well as the Departments of Education and Agriculture.
“I don’t know if the future is Critical Race Theory and tax payments at the end of a rifle, but I certainly hope not,” said Gaetz.
