The FWC is utilizing chlorophyll satellite imagery from USF and NOAA NCCOS to track nearshore and offshore conditions. The patches of elevated surface chlorophyll that were previously being monitored appear to have dissipated. Monitoring efforts will continue.
Fish kills suspected to be related to red tide were reported in Sarasota County in Southwest Florida. No respiratory irritation suspected to be related to red tide was reported in the past week.
