TAMPA, Fla. – Southbound I-275 has reopened in Tampa as crews cleaned up a multi-vehicle crash caused by a reckless driver Monday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV traveling southbound on I-275, driving recklessly and passing on the shoulder, caused a six-vehicle crash.
Troopers say the SUV caught fire after impact, and the driver suffered serious injuries.
All southbound lanes were closed as crews work to clear the roadway, but have since reopened.
