EAGLE LAKE, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described the arrest of a 31-year-old man who fled from deputies on a motorcycle, highlighting the circumstances that led to the suspect’s capture.
According to Sheriff Judd, the suspect, identified as Taron Todd, 31, of Eagle Lake, was involved in a traffic incident. After hitting a car, Todd allegedly fled the scene on his motorcycle.
A PCSO deputy responded to the incident and located Todd on 9th Street in Eagle Lake. Todd continued to flee on the motorcycle, but his escape was short-lived.

Sheriff Judd explained that Todd’s motorcycle came to a halt because “he previously apparently taken the gas tank off of the motorcycle, and it appears he ran out of fuel.”
The sheriff also stated that Todd has never had a driver’s license and has been cited multiple times for driving on a suspended license.

Sheriff Judd quipped to characterize Todd’s behavior, saying, “This guy is just like out of control. He’s what we call a Raspert. He’s in jail.”
