Nearly 26 percent of Florida voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s primary elections, according to the state Division of Elections website.
In all, 3,697,667 of 14,307,787 eligible voters, or 25.8 percent, cast ballots, the website said.
The highest turnout was in Jefferson County, at 44.8 percent, followed by Sumter County at 44 percent and Lafayette County at 42.3 percent.
The lowest turnout was in Osceola County at 17.8 percent, followed by Hardee County at 18.6 percent and Miami-Dade County at 19.1 percent, according to the website.
