ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Corbblin Dixon, a 66-year-old from Orlando, is celebrating a major win after claiming a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s “500X THE CASH” scratch-off game. Dixon chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 2873 South Orange Avenue in Orlando. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The “$50 500X THE CASH” game offers a top prize of $25 million and over $1.66 billion in total cash prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1 in 4.23.

Scratch-off games make up a significant portion of the Florida Lottery’s sales, accounting for approximately 74% of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Since their inception, scratch-off games have awarded over $63.1 billion in prizes, created more than 2,175 millionaires, and generated over $19.24 billion for Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
