A pair of pro-Trumpers at Yankee Stadium made it clear that Founding Father Patrick Henry’s claim that liberty trumps all, even death, definitely applies to their guy.

According to the website Trending Politics on Thursday, two fans of former President Donald Trump unveiled a “massive” banner in the renowned stadium’s middle deck just before the first pitch on Wednesday night.

As “God Bless America” belted out over the intercom system, the two men unfurled the red, white and blue banner, which featured the former president’s image and read, “Trump or Death.”

Flanking Trump’s image were the numbers 1776 and 2024.

The phrase recalled Henry’s famous line, “Give me liberty or give me death.”

Conservative activist Laura Loomer posted on X (formerly Twitter) that one of the men who dropped the banner was her friend Dion Cini. “Very cool!” Loomer posted along with the video.

Cini was joined by Joe Riley in the latest banner drop.

Cini, whose X account says he is a “professional provocateur banned from Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Studios NYC, Sea World, Sesame Place & Major League Baseball,” also posted a video of the banner drop, and used it to promote his website, TrumpSwag.com.

This was not the first time Cini used Yankee Stadium as the backdrop to promote Trump.

As the Tampa Free Press reported in May 2021, Cini and another man dropped a huge banner that proclaimed “Trump Won, Save America,” and hung it over the second deck behind first base.

On that occasion, Cini and his accomplice were immediately, roundly, and robustly booed by other fans from the left-wing city. Some fans even tried to yank down the banner, while others gave the men the finger.

Some of New York’s finest quickly showed up and hustled Cini and his aide out of the ballpark.

Unlike then, though, videos of the unfurling on Wednesday showed Yankee fans gawking at the banner but generally paying little attention to it.

In fact, they mostly ignored it and began singing along with “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” as it hung above them.

Perhaps that’s because even liberals in one of America’s most left-wing cities have had enough of President Joe Biden.

As Trending Politics noted of Wednesday’s stunt, “As President Trump has continued to surpass the incumbent President Joe Biden in poll after poll, new voters from cities like New York have been adding themselves to his coalition, especially given the city’s migrant crisis and pushback on the White House from Mayor Eric Adams.”

“Even communities of color have responded positively to Trump’s reelection campaign as he enjoys greater support among Black and Hispanic Americans than previous Republican presidential nominees.”
