President Donald Trump is set to waste no time in implementing his agenda following his inauguration today, with plans to sign over 200 executive orders aimed at swiftly reversing the policies of the Biden administration and kickstarting what he describes as a “new golden age” for America.
During an “Inauguration Eve” rally, Trump promised his supporters that his administration would act decisively from day one. “Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden Administration will be repealed within hours of taking the oath of office,” Trump declared. “Somebody said yesterday, ‘Sir, don’t sign so many in one day. Let’s do it over a period of weeks.’ I said, ‘Like hell we’re going to do it over weeks, we’re going to sign them at the beginning!’”

Among the top priorities for Trump today will be executive orders addressing border security, energy independence, government oversight, and the protection of American families. Policies expected to be reinstated include:
Border Security Measures: Reinstating the “Remain in Mexico” policy, ending catch and release programs, and declaring a national emergency at the southern border. Trump is also expected to direct the U.S. military to work alongside the Department of Homeland Security to fully secure the border.
Energy Independence: Rolling back Biden-era climate regulations and expanding domestic energy production, including offshore drilling and pipeline projects to bolster U.S. energy dominance.
Government Accountability: Signing an executive order to strengthen presidential control over senior government officials, aiming to streamline federal bureaucracy and ensure loyalty to his administration’s agenda.
Protecting American Families: A series of actions targeting cultural issues, including bans on transgender participation in women’s sports and removing federal support for gender-affirming care programs for minors.

Speaking about the incoming administration’s goals, Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project, told Fox News that Trump’s actions signal a return to “American strength and prosperity.” “We’re going to unleash American energy, secure our borders, and get back to basics. Protecting our kids and supporting families will be key priorities,” Schilling said.
At Sunday’s rally, Trump struck an optimistic tone, telling supporters: “At noon, the curtain closes on four long years of American decline, and we begin a brand-new day of American strength and prosperity, dignity, and pride. Every day will be filled with opportunity and hope – and also filled with a thing called the American Dream.”
The inaugural event, originally planned for the National Mall, was moved indoors to Capital One Arena due to inclement weather. During the event, Trump’s family, including Lara and Eric Trump, took the stage with their children, leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance, emphasizing the importance of preserving traditional values and patriotism.

Political analysts expect today’s flurry of executive orders to set the tone for Trump’s second term, with a focus on delivering on key campaign promises such as cracking down on illegal immigration, rolling back environmental regulations, and refocusing government efforts on economic growth and job creation.
“Promises made, promises kept,” Trump reiterated during his rally, reinforcing his commitment to swiftly executing his vision for the nation.
As Trump assumes office, the nation watches closely to see how his immediate actions will shape the direction of U.S. policy in the days and weeks ahead.
