Key Economic and Business Appointments
- Dr. Michael William Faulkender is nominated as deputy secretary of the Treasury. A distinguished economist and academic, Faulkender previously served as assistant secretary for Economic Policy during Trump’s first term. He currently holds positions at the University of Maryland and the America First Policy Institute. Trump praised Faulkender’s experience, noting his ability to drive sound economic policy.
- Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) will lead the Small Business Administration (SBA). With a background in finance and technology, Loeffler is tasked with supporting small businesses and curbing government inefficiencies in the sector.
- Former U.S. Rep. Billy Long (R-Mo.) is nominated as commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Known for his expertise in real estate and legislative leadership, Long will focus on improving service delivery and strengthening compliance within the IRS.
- Frank Bisignano, a veteran executive with leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase and Fiserv Corporation, has been tapped as commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA). Trump highlighted Bisignano’s experience in overseeing large-scale operations and financial systems.

- Gail Slater will serve as assistant attorney general for the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. Slater is expected to prioritize addressing the market dominance of Big Tech, which Trump argues has suppressed competition and harmed consumer rights.
- Paul Atkins, previously announced as Trump’s nominee for chairman of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), is tasked with fostering innovative and fair capital markets. Atkins, CEO of Patomak Global Partners, is a former SEC commissioner known for his commitment to transparency and market responsiveness.
White House Counsel and Government Efficiency
- David A. Warrington, Trump’s former campaign legal counsel, has been appointed as assistant to the president and counsel to the president. Warrington will oversee the Office of White House Counsel, ensuring legal compliance and advancing the administration’s priorities.
- William Joseph McGinley will serve as counsel to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In collaboration with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, McGinley will work to streamline government operations, cut excessive regulations, and eliminate wasteful spending.

- Monica Crowley, a seasoned public servant and media figure, will take on multiple roles as U.S. ambassador, assistant secretary of State, and chief of protocol.
