As a safety measure, residents should boil all tap water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. A full rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. Allow the water to run clear before washing clothes and discard any ice from automatic ice makers. Bottled water can be used as an alternative.

Hillsborough County Water Resources is actively working to gather more information about the situation and will provide an update by 2 p.m. today.
