The argument reportedly began after the victim received a phone call from her new boyfriend, which angered Carr. According to the victim, while in the garage, Carr grabbed a power drill and threatened her. Fearing for her safety, she armed herself with a knife.
Carr then went inside the residence and retrieved a firearm. Upon returning to the garage, he allegedly displayed the firearm, which was tucked into his waistband, and threatened to kill the victim. The victim fled the residence and called 911. The couple’s two children were not home at the time of the incident.
