Port Richey Woman Struck And Killed On Ridge Road

PORT RICHEY, Fla. – A 66-year-old Port Richey woman was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Ridge Road.

The incident occurred around 10:05 p.m., east of Congress Street. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Pontiac Vibe driven by a 23-year-old New Port Richey man was traveling eastbound on Ridge Road when the pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway and entered the vehicle’s path.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Pontiac Vibe was not injured.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
