PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old woman from Port Richey was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident early Saturday morning on US-19.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 1:45 am, the woman was walking eastbound across the northbound lanes of US-19, south of the crosswalk at Scenic Drive, when she was struck by a Ford F150 driven by a 70-year-old man from Inglis.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, where she later passed away. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
