President Joe Biden’s support among voters has been on life support for most of his presidency.

According to FiveThirtyEight.com, Biden’s disapproval rating surpassed his favorability score in early September 2021, and he has never looked back.

At the moment, he is nearly 18 points underwater, with an approval rating of just 38%. Only two presidents – Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush – have been lower at this stage of their presidencies in the past 80 years.

This means it’s no surprise that Biden’s supporters will head to the polls in November not to vote for him but to cast a ballot against the other guy.

Breitbart News on Tuesday reported on a new Economist/YouGov survey that found 51% percent of respondents admitted that they will largely vote “against” former President Donald Trump. That compares to 48% who said they are primarily voting “for” the 81-year-old incumbent.

The number was even higher among pivotal independent voters. Overall, 70% acknowledged that they would vote “against” Trump rather than “for” Biden.

The poll found that Trump backers are actually voting for something.

Economist/YouGov found that 67% of overall Trump supporters and 62% of independent voters are eager to vote “for” Trump rather than simply voting “against” Biden.

“In other words,” Breitbart noted, “most Trump supporters are not simply voting for Trump as a protest vote against Biden.”
