POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk State College may launch a pilot program to offer select online degree programs at a significantly reduced rate.
The Polk State College District Board of Trustees will consider the details of this program, including specific tuition and fees, at their upcoming meeting on August 1st, 2024, at 4:30 PM in Room 267 of the Polk State Center for Public Safety.
Approved by the Florida Legislature, this program allows Polk State to offer these online degrees to non-resident students for a total cost not exceeding $290 per credit hour.

This represents a substantial decrease from the current rate of $409.06 per credit hour and applies only to select online programs starting in the 2024/25 academic year.
